Cut Backs could bring Fire Rescue to unsafe Staffing levels.
|
With the current budget cut backs being proposed, Pasco County is proposing cuts in Fire Rescue staffing that will bring it to unsafe levels, both for Firefighters, and the Publics safety.
Quote from St Pete Times “Fire stations could be affected, Nurrenbrock said, with a proposal that 16 of 21 fire stations in the county have only two people per truck instead of three.”

 2009 MDA SUMMER CAMP LUNCH
|
2009 MDA SUMMER CAMP On June 8th Pasco County Professional Fire Fighters participated in the MDA Summer Camp by preparing a lunch for them. Several Fire Departments across the Tampa Bay area come in to prepare a full meal for the campers each day for the week. On our day Largo FD prepared breakfast and Pasco PFF did a lunch of burgers, dogs and homemade Mac & cheese from Dan & Penny McCaffrey. As we finished cleaning up Clearwater FD was arriving to do dinner. Each year this is a great experience for us to participate in. Several members brought their families and kids and they had a great time grilling with the big dogs (Zukosky, Luter, Gilkey). The kitchen was run by commanders Penny McCaffrey and Mike Hartzner.

2009 MDA Fill The Boot Drive

2009 MDA Fill-The Boot Drive
Dan and Penny McCaffrey would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication to the 2009 MDA Fill-The-Boot Drive. Even with our economy in the shape that it is in, we have been able to collect approximately $10,000 more than we did last year. We ended up collecting $27,229 without change. We are still working on counting a lot of change.
We would also like to send out a special thanks to Florida State Senator Mike Fasano and Candidate for State Representative, District 45 Richard Corcoran for helping out to fill the boots working along side of our firefighters.
 Mike Fasano
Richard Corcoran
Again, we would like to thank you for all your dedication to these MDA children and their families.
To the citizens of Pasco County we would like to thank-you for the generous donations to the MDA and assisting your firefighters with a successful Boot Drive.
